“Tata”

The most influential person in my life is this man in the photo. His name is Albert

Peyron, and he is my grandpa! From the day I was born he has always been there for me. He has taught me many things in life, from playing baseball to becoming a man. The most important thing that I have learned from him is how important family is. In November of 2007 my grandparents along with a lot of my closest family and friends, came over for a big Thanksgiving dinner. In my family holidays are always big events, with lots of foods and drinks, usually lasting all day. During this Thanksgiving my grandpa happened to asked me to do him a favor, he asked me to sneak him a couple shots of whiskey. We had to be sneaky because he didn’t like my grandma knowing he was drinking. So he would pretend like he was just going down the hall into my room and I would meet him there. I took this photo of his happiness after he drank his shot of whiskey.  Its times like this that I will never ever forget, and I am happy that I was able to capture it in an amazing photo like this. I like the photo because in the background it has a crooked picture showing that he was a little tipsy. The lighting is also what makes the picture, the two things I wanted as the focal points really standout. In the future I plan on working to take pictures using lighting like in this photo. To me the lighting of a photo is what makes a picture and this is something I really want to experiment with.

my main focus on these pictures was to bringout colors of  foods and flowers. In one of the pictures i used lines to make you focus on the vegitables in the store. I used bright colors to make the foods and flowers look good. This group of pictures i treid to show how good the flowers and fruites are that are sold at our local organic food store. these pictures are succesfull because of the colors and backgrounds. If i could do anything in theres pictures i would have something in the pictures showing that its from AJ’s.

My main focus on these three pictures was to show the night life and personalities of the kids who enjoy music and entertainment. The backgrounds on all the pictures are very simple and blurred with lights and motion. I didn’t use lines in any of the pictures because the focal point on all of them is right where I wanted them. The lighting is very different kind of an orange blur of lights on the streets. These photos aren’t very successful in what I was trying to show but they are definitely interesting and unusual.  I think that if there had more movement and emotion in them they would do what I wanted them to do. The one thing that I avoided was lines because I feel like it focuses too much on one point in a picture.  This photo shoot was very difficult I tried several nights to get what I wanted but wasn’t able to succeed. I think that if I paid more attention to that kind of life style I would be able to show it and take pictures that describe it.
