About

Hi my name is Clay Beauchamp, I’m 16 years old, and I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. From as long as I could remember I have always found myself interested and involved in the many different styles of art. Photography and street art are two favorites I found of interest. Art isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s a life style and I enjoy every part about it.

Right now I am a senior at Canyon Del Oro high school and am currently enrolled in two art classes, advanced digital photography and AP studio art. Both teachers have been great influences in my life. Mr. Street has taught me that you can’t always rush art; it’s about taking your time. Miss Mendoza taught me to be dedicated to my art, and to be disciplined.

When creating art, I often think about previous dreams I have had. These dreams inspire my abstract and surreal pieces of art. Most of my pieces are inspired from events that have happened in my life. In the future, I could use the skills I have learned from this class, to have an on-the-side job. I could use these skills also to enhance my imagination. In today’s society, many artists use their photography to express an opinion. I can use my photography to express my view on a controversial issue.
